Post #4: Germany (:

                                                            ^^ Brandenburger Tor^^

                                                       ^^Amstel Hostel^^

Today I was in Berlin, Germany. In Berlin they use Euros as their currency too. They speak German which is very confusing. Here is what I have had to say almost everywhere I went in Berlin: "hallo, ist mein name Tori und ich komme aus den vereinigten staaten." I've pretty much memorized this saying. The first day I was here, I slept the whole day. I was so tired after being on the plane so much so I slept. I stayed at the Amstel House Hostel. It was very nice adn homey. The second day I was here I visited Bradenburger Tor. This is the gate that is right in the middle of Berlin. It used to be the symbol of the divided city. The next day, I visited Botanischer Garten. It's a beautiful garden that has many exotic plants and colorful flowers. I spent all day there just looking at how different it all was from what i see in the U.S. Yesterday, I went to see The Story of Berlin. Its a film that talks about eight different cities in Berlin. It talked about how Berlin was founded in 1237. That was a long time ago! It also talked about the different plagues that were in Berlin. It was a very interesting and educational film to watch. I enjoyed it alot. Tomorrow I finally get to go home. I am kind of excited and kind of sad. Europe is amazing. I have never seen anything like the things I've seen here. All the different cultures here are so exciting and the different sites, smells, and even the peopleare so interesting! I am definately going to come back some time!

Post #3: Italy (:

http//:www.frommers.com

Ciao! Rome, Italy was exactly what I wanted it to be and more! I have ate so much food though... I probably gained like 20 pounds! The hostel I stayed in was Tiber Hostel adn Camping. It was very scenic and beautiful. I visited The Colosseum the first day I got here. It was very interesting to see how that structure stayed up for so long. I was truly amazed. Yesterday, I went to the Villa dei Medici Gardens. It was so colorful and relaxing. There were alot of different types of flowers and I fell in love with the gardening skills of the gardeners there. They have to be pretty creative. Earlier today, I went to the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. It was a structure built for a goddess that Italians used to worship. The architecture was amazing. I have never seen anything like it! I leave for Berlin in the morning and then I will be on my way home.

Post #2: Ireland (:

Ireland is completely different from France! Here there isn't much of a nightlife like there was in France which isn't as fun but I'm still having a very good time! I am staying in the cutest hostel calles Isaacs Hostel. It's so cozy! One good thing about Dublin is that they speak English. Thankfully they do because in Paris it was very challenging to try and understand them and I probably looked rather dumb when I was trying to act like I actually understood them! Anyways, I've been here for three days and I have been to the Dublin Civic Museum, Waterways Visitor Center, and the Ardigillan Castle. The Civic museum was pretty boring but I learned alot about the history of Dublin. The waterways Visitor center just showed me the lakes and rivers in Ireland. It was pretty cool to be able to see all of them. The Ardigillan castle was amazing! It was so pretty and rustic. In America we don't have castles so it was pretty exciting to see this landmark. Tomorrow I'm leaving for Italy. I absolutely cant wait! Well thats all for now. I"ll post more when i get to Rome!

Post #1: France (:

http://factmonster.com ^^ Jardin de Luxemburg ^^

Wow! For the past three days I have been in Paris, France. It has been an amazing experience! In France, they speak French as their dominant language. I've been staying at St. Christopher;s Paris. It's so pretty here! Their monetary unit is called Euros. I visited Cimit`ere du P`ere-lachouse. Its a cemetery located in Paris. It was pretty creepy to be there if you ask me. I also went to the Jardin de Luxemburg that had two of the prettiest fountains I have ever seen! They were very artistic and detailed. I have never seen anything like them in America it was a very interesting place to visit. Yesterday, I went to the Eiffel Tower. It was so pretty especially at night. Its all lit up and it lights up all of Paris. Its such a different view than in the daytime. I attempted to eat snails because thats a very popular dish here but I just couldn't do it. They were too slimy and yucky looking. Im leaving for Ireland tomorrow. I wonder if Paris and Dublin are anything alike? Well I'm really tired. I've been going all day I'll post another blog once I get to Dublin. Au revoir!
